EVENT DESCRIPTION
ABOUT GROUP WORKOUTS

Zwifters line up in the starting area just like a normal event and once the event starts, workout mode begins. Everyone stays together regardless of power output. That's right, if you're outputting 100W and another Zwifter is outputting 400W you will stay in exactly the same position relative to each other. Only if you stop pedaling and fall 6 meters behind the group will the rubber-banding stop.

ABOUT THIS WORKOUT

The goal of this workout is to improve your time to exhaustion. By completing some high intensity VO2max efforts prior to your sweet spot interval, you will increase your muscle’s ability to resist fatigue at higher power output. Fuel up for this session - you are going to need carbs to complete the final 10min sweet spot interval.

Length: 60 minutes

Workout Designer: Kevin Poulton, coach to a wide range of athletes including Professional, Junior, Triathletes, Elite, Age Group and Masters cyclists. Under Kevin's guidance, athletes have won Paris-Roubaix (Kevin coached Matt Hayman to his 2016 victory), World Tour classics, numerous National and State Road Championships, and National Road Series events.

HELPFUL HINT

We highly recommend doing one of the FTP tests as the estimated FTP can be inaccurate and make the difficulty level of the workouts too high for your current fitness level.
