EVENT DESCRIPTION
ABOUT THIS WORKOUT

Join the Zwift Academy Triathletes for a 12.2m/20km run that swings the pace from easy to half ironman to ironman speeds. Regular pace changes keep the run challenging and help to keep the mind focused on perceived effort levels. The swings in pace will help to dial in your speed on race day. Pick a pace group to challenge yourself and help push your fellow triathletes to up their run game.

Everyone is welcome whether you are a triathlete or runner. Warm-up for the workout on your own and finish with tempo here or use this to set yourself up for a longer run after with some other runners.

WORKOUT WITH THE SPECIALIZED ZWIFT ACADEMY TRI TEAM

Join us for 10 weeks of killer workouts with the tri team. You’ll find a fresh and furious mix of riding and running workouts - sweet spot training, FTP boosting, tempo workouts and more – plus drop-ins from our team members as they train with you on Zwift. Hop on and give them a shoutout as you tackle these intervals and level up. If you’re training for your own event, or curious about signing up for a triathlon, take up the challenge and work out with us.

Rachael Norfleet, Golo Philippe Röhrken, Geert Janssens, and Bex Rimmington make up the Specialized Zwift Academy Tri Team. World-class professional triathlete and mentor Tim Don helps guide them on the road to Kona. This is your chance to get to know the athletes, ask your questions, wish them luck, and get a solid workout in.

ABOUT RUN WORKOUTS

Zwift run workouts provide more structure to your workouts while allowing you to tailor the workout to your paces. You can do run workouts as a group but unlike the bike workouts, you will have to keep up or risk being dropped from the group.

HELPFUL HINT

Pick the closest pace group for you, but all groups will start together and you are free to fall back and run ahead. The pace groups designate average pace for the duration of the run. Most groups will start slower and finish faster than the indicated pace.
