CANYON//SRAM Racing | Zwift Academy Terms & Conditions

Before you enroll in CANYON//SRAM Racing | Zwift Academy (collectively, the “Academy” or “Program”), we’re obligated to ask you (the “Participant”) to read and agree to the following Terms and Conditions (“T&C”).

Eligibility

By enrolling in the Academy you represent that you are a non-professional female cyclist aged 18 years or older as of September 1st, 2017, in good general health. The Academy reserves the right to verify the eligibility of Participants at any time during the Program including both physiological performance verification, and anti-doping tests.

Failure to comply with any verification procedures operated by the Academy will result in disqualification from the Program. In the event of any dispute concerning the eligibility of any Participant in the Program, the Academy’s decision shall be final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.

Judging

A committee comprised of coaches, sports scientists, ex-pro riders, team management, and cycling experts will select 10 semi-finalists from the Participants who have completed the Qualifying phase of the Program that runs from September 1st – October 13th. Participants will be judged based on their performance of prescriptive content including the required number of Zwift structured workouts, races and group rides. Data from outdoor rides on Strava will also be considered and correlated with the results demonstrated on Zwift.

3 finalists will be selected from the 10 semi-finalists during the Semi-Finals phase of the Program that runs from November 1st – November 22nd. Workouts will be more challenging and so will the scrutiny. Riders will complete a second round of structured Zwift workouts as well as 2 races. Riders will be interviewed and required to use the equipment they are rewarded for the Semi-Finals. While the riders physiological abilities will remain focal to selection, overall cycling skills and potential fit for the team will also play a big role in who moves on.

The 3 finalists will be invited to join the CANYON//SRAM Racing team’s training camp in mid-December to spend a week meeting, training, and working with the CANYON//SRAM Racing riders and staff. At the end of camp, one rider will be offered a contract for the 2018 racing season.
