Training camps are almost as old as bike racing. They’re the perfect opportunity for pro and amateur riders to log base miles, build fitness, and set goals for the season ahead. Typically located in a beautiful place with temperate weather and minimal rain, they’re heaven for cyclists.
The Power Up Training Camp Challenge presented by BikeRadar is a chance to take your fitness to the next level. For free. Six lucky Zwifters will win a trip to a real-life training camp in beautiful Banyoles, Spain in early December.
Camp participants will be under the watchful eyes of world-class coaches Kevin Poulton, Greg Henderson, and Matt Rowe. These coaches will prescribe indoor and outdoor workouts designed to fast-track your fitness. They’ll also analyze your riding to determine where you can capitalize on performance gains. You will also learn how to maximize nutrition, recovery, and how to remain focused on your riding and racing goals for 2019.
As if that wasn’t enough, next July BikeRadar Training Camp Challenge participants will also get an invite to the 2019 L’Étape du Tour: an event where cyclists ride the same route as a Tour de France stage.
WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO BE CONSIDERED?
The Power Up Training Camp Challenge requires you complete three prescribed group workouts between Oct. 15 — 21. Our coaches designed each session and each workout tests a different specialty like climbing, time trialing, or sprinting. You do not need to get all gold stars. Just do your best during each workout.
Once you’ve completed your workouts, we’ll send you an email with a link to complete a short, one-minute video interview. After completing the interview online, our judges will determine the camp participants based on criteria outlined in the Official Rules.
Winners will be notified by email on or about Nov. 2.
