Join the Mo Farah 1 Hour Record Challenge

ON August 25, 2020 by Sean Jefferson

After two years of racing marathons, Mo Farah has returned to the track. However, he won’t be competing in a traditional event. Instead of running the 5,000m or 10,000m, he has one hour to see just how far he can go.

On September 4, the four-time Olympic gold medalist and World Champion from Great Britain will attempt to best Ethiopian Haile Gebrselassie’s 13-year-old record of 21.3 km (that’s 13.24 miles for those counting at home) in one hour at the Brussels Diamond League meet.

Want to be a part of history?

On September 5–6, we’ll host a number of digital events challenging our community to see how far you can run in one hour. This is the perfect opportunity to challenge yourself and set your own personal record. Join the fun. Test your limits. Support Mo in his record-breaking attempt. Then, compare your distance to Mo’s and see how you stack up. Invite your friends or compete alone, but don’t forget to lace up for this historic event.
