EVENT DESCRIPTION
Sunday morning Pretzel is an MGCC Zwift tradition for the winter season! Join the group as we tackle Watopia's Pretzel.
We'll have two groups, one centered around the Yellow beacon, and one centered around the Red beacon. Both groups will go steady on the flats, and hit the big climbs hard. Each group will do short regroups at the top of big climbs, depending on the mood of the group. Steady aerobic on the flats: Yellow beacon at 3.0 - 3.5 W/kg, Red beacon at 2.5 - 3.0 W/kg. On the hills pace goes a bit above threshold: 4.0-4.5 W/kg for yellow beacon, 3.5-3.9 W/kg for red beacon.
The groups may break-up on the climbs, but try to hang on to a wheel with similar ability. This is not a race, but it is not an easy ride either. You are encouraged to stay with the leader; don't count on a sweeper.
Looking forward to riding with you!
