ABOUT CORY GREENBERG
Cory Greenberg is a Southern California-based professional cyclist living with Ulcerative Colitis. He's participating with the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation and Zwift to raise awareness and funds towards finding a cure for these painful and devastating diseases.
Diagnosed at 22, Cory was told by various medical professionals that a cycling career with IBD would be impossible. Traveling around the world for races while managing a chronic autoimmune disease that has no cure just didn't appear to be in the cards. Aided by an overwhelming amount of resolve, Cory set out to overcome his condition by finding a pathway to better health.
Once he was on the road to recovery in 2015, Cory finally achieved his dream of becoming a professional cyclist and today rides for the Dauner-Akkon Pro Cycling Team.
Now living in remission, he’s set his sights on using cycling as a platform to advocate for the IBD community by creating his own initiative called Ride4IBD, while speaking out about the struggles of living with IBD, inspiring others not to be ashamed of the diagnosis, and encouraging health and fitness for the IBD community.
