EVENT DESCRIPTION
ABOUT

All Zwifters are welcome to compete in the championships and throw down watts in the battle. To be eligible to win the title, riders must hold Australian citizenship and a Cycling Australia race license. One male and one female winner will be presented with the Official Cycling Australia Green and Gold Jersey and a gold medal, presented during a ceremony at the National Road Race Championships on January 6.

COURSE

Both men and women ride the same course – the Volcano Circuit route in Watopia. The circuit loop will test who has the best Criterium strength.

RACE RULES

All Zwifters are welcome to join the 2019 Cycling Australia eRacing Criterium Championship.

In order to be eligible to be crowned the Zwift National Champion, you must abide by the following rules and have:

A VALID NATIONAL CYCLING FEDERATION RACE LICENSE

You must enter your Cycling Australia Race License number in your Zwift Profile Account ahead of the race. This proof of license will be shown during the race. Here is an example: https://content-cdn.zwift.com/uploads/2018/12/Screen-Shot-2018-12-17-at-4.41.55-PM.pngOpens a new window

- Just like in real life, to be a National Criterium Champion, you must be associated with the National Cycling Federation.
- We require this race license for the potential winner of the 2019 Cycling Australia eRacing Criterium Championship to prove that your country and gender align with the physical federation in which you represent.
- A Race License is not needed to enter the race and you will still be displayed in the final results to see where you stack up. But if you win without a valid race license, you will not be crowned the National Champion.
- By having membership to your National Cycling Federation, you are bound by the terms and conditions and the regulations of the Federation including the Code of Conduct, responsible riding policy, Member Protection Policy and Anti Doping Policy.

- All riders are subject to Zwift Power's standard for automatic disqualification based on Critical Power.
- These riders may be reinstated subsequent to verification by Zwift Anti Doping Agency (ZADA). Please see ZwiftPower.com for more information on Critical Power limits of varying durations for male and female riders.

THE CORRECT EQUIPMENT

- Riders are required to wear a functioning heart rate monitor which must provide reliable heart rate data for the majority of the race.
- Must use either a power meter or smart trainer. zPower riders are not eligible.
- If the power numbers provided by these devices during the race are above Zwift Powers critical power rule, you will be investigated by ZADA to prove they match real world performances.
- No TT Bikes may be ridden during the race.
- Power Ups are allowed at all times.

*zPower Disclaimer: While we're confident in its accuracy if your setup matches our standards, zPower is a calculated estimate for progress benchmarks, not absolute power values. Due to the number of variables - including manufacturer design inconsistencies in equipment - it's likely that the power numbers you see will differ from what we calculated zPower with, and your wattage will be capped at 1200w. zPower is not recognized as a reliable source for racing because of these variables. If you want exact, accurate numbers, consider a power meter or smart trainer instead.

NATIONAL CYCLING FEDERATIONS - NATIONAL LEVEL RACE REQUIREMENTS

Just like in real life, to be a National Champion, you must be associated with the National Cycling Federation of your home country or country of residence in which you are able to represent. Either way, you can only represent 1 country. We require this race license for the potential winner of the 2019 Cycling Australia eRacing Criterium Championship to prove that their country and gender align with the physical federation in which they represent.

Australia: Cycling Australia - ‘Race Membership’ is required by the potential winner

A Race License is not needed to enter the race and you will still be displayed in the final results to see where you stack up in your race. But if you win without a race license, you will not be crowned the National Champion.

RESULTS

- Results displayed in-game and on ZwiftPower.com are preliminary unofficial results until racers are verified where necessary.
- Final results will be decided by ZwiftPower and ZADA once eligible racers have been verified.
- We hope to announce the final results and all the winner's names by Jan 5.
