EVENT DESCRIPTION
ABOUT THIS WORKOUT

This workout is intended for riders with a solid aerobic base and is intended for the final phase of race preparation. Designed by CCC Team Head of Performance, Marco Pinotti, it’s a structured workout of ~20 mins and used by CCC Team riders regularly. 2-4 team riders will complete the workout IRL with 2 lucky Zwifters winning the opportunity to participate alongside them. Zwifters from all over the world can join the event online. Team riders and participants will all be assigned the new CCC Team kit and Giant TCR Race Bicycle for the event. During the group-workout Zwifters are encouraged to interact with the pro riders as they are happy to answer questions.

WORKOUT DESIGNER

Marco Pinotti is the head of performance at CCC Team, and a former professional road cyclist, who competed between 1999 and 2013. Pinotti is an individual time trial specialist and is a six-time Italian National Time Trial Champion.

ABOUT GROUP WORKOUTS

Zwifters line up in the starting area just like a normal event and once the event starts, workout mode begins. Everyone stays together regardless of power output. That's right, if you're outputting 100W and another Zwifter is outputting 400W you will stay in exactly the same position relative to each other. Only if you stop pedaling and fall 6 meters behind the group will the rubber-banding stop.

We highly recommend doing one of the FTP tests as the estimated FTP can be inaccurate and make the difficulty level of the workouts too high for your current fitness level.
