The only way to make big gains is to start where you are. The Baseline Ride will determine your starting condition and your phenotype (e.g. sprinter, time trialist) so you can measure your progress throughout the Academy.
You can go at your own pace for most of the Baseline Ride, but there are three segments — short, medium, and long —where you’ll go all out. Find these spots by following the on-screen messaging. Pro tip: get up to speed just before the start of each segment for the best possible result. After completing the Baseline ride, you can check your email to learn about your rider type.
