EVENT DESCRIPTION
ABOUT THIS WORKOUT
This event is by and for women. It's an almost-no-drop, rubber-banded Structured Training workout. It's an hour-long each week, with a short warm-up and cool-down period. Ride of the Valkyries is part of the Slowtwitch Indoors series of events, joining our Tuesday Night Dynamite, Rise & Grind, and Hilly Vanilli Chase rides, as well as our 100/100 Challenge Support runs.
HOW IT WORKS
You'll line up in the starting area just like a normal event. Once the event starts, workout mode begins. Everyone stays together regardless of power output: if you're outputting 100W and another Zwifter is outputting 400W, you will stay in exactly the same position relative to each other. The rubberbanding will only stop if you stop pedaling and fall more than six meters behind the group.
We highly recommend doing one of the FTP tests as Zwift's estimated FTP can be inaccurate and make the difficulty level of the workouts too high. For more info on FTP go to: https://support.zwift.com/hc/en-us/articles/210208083-What-is-FTP-and-how-is-it-used-in-ZwiftOpens a new window
