EVENT DESCRIPTION

This is Race 5 - A Points Race taking on a three laps of Sprinter's Playground (37.2km/23.0mi, 201m/660ft elevation). The winner is the person who scores the most points. Points are awarded for both the fastest through segment times and also for your finishing position. Here's how the points are awarded:
Tower Sprint Reverse (each lap) - 50 points for the fastest time, 49 points for 2nd fastest, all the way to 1 point for 50th place
Castle Park Sprint Reverse (each lap) - 50 points for the fastest time, 49 points for 2nd fastest, all the way to 1 point for 50th place
Alley Sprint (each lap) - 50 points for the fastest time, 49 points for 2nd fastest, all the way to 1 point for 50th place
Railway Sprint (each lap) - 50 points for the fastest time, 49 points for 2nd fastest, all the way to 1 point for 50th place
Finishing Position - 300 points for first place, 294 points for second place, continuing at 6 point intervals until 6 points for 50th place
Over the 8 weeks (April 30 - June 22), we will be taking on 8 different routes, starting with a Time Trial, followed by 3 short scratch races, then three points races and a Time Trial to finish. Here is the schedule:
Event 1: Tempus Fugit TT (1 lap)
Event 2: Ocean Lava Cliffside Loop SCRATCH (1 lap)
Event 3: Jurassic Coast SCRATCH (1 lap)
Event 4: Mountain Mash SCRATCH (1 lap)
Event 5: Sprinter's Playground POINTS (3 laps)
Event 6: Watopia Hilly Route POINTS (3 laps)
Event 7: The Muckle Yin POINTS (1 lap)
Event 8: Bologna Time Trial TT (1 lap)
Each week there will be five different time slots to choose from, with 4 on a Tuesday (0830, 1730, 2230, 0130 UTC) and an extra slot in case you missed out on a Saturday afternoon (1430 UTC)
Only your best 6 races out of the 8 weeks will count. With points being awarded based on your position in each event. If you win, you will score 100 points, 99 for second, all the way down to 1 points for 100th position.

If you upgrade mid-series, your points cannot be transferred to your new category. If you think it is likely that you will upgrade during this series, please enter all races at the higher category.
These races are open to all women, but for your results to count, you must be wearing a heart rate monitor and using either a smart trainer or power meter. Sorry - no zPower riders in the classified results.
