EVENT DESCRIPTION
The Ribble Winter Racing Series is here, a great way to challenge yourself, have fun, keep fit and benefit from the mental and physical health benefits of cycling over winter.
The Series will run every Thursday at 7:10 pm from Start of November to 26th March 2024.
The Series is open to all of Zwift and some special guests throughout the Series.
To keep it exciting for those of you who have competitive tendencies (you know who you are), we will be tracking the league through ZwiftPower, so don’t forget to link yourself up. There will be prizes for participation; the more events you attend, the more chances you win, and spot prizes for improvements seen in the results.
The series on Zwiftpower is here: https://zwiftpower.com/league.php?id=2477Opens a new window
So best join the Ribble Club on Ribble to keep track of the events and prizes. https://www.zwift.com/uk/clubs/2d439a0a-1866-4eff-b455-0408a4ffb9b9/joinOpens a new window
Above all, this is fun and a great way to get fit through the winter.
How do I win the league?
First and foremost, you have to be in it to win it. Everyone who enters one of the Ribble Race Series will have a chance of winning a prize, and the more races you enter, the more chances of winning.
We will award league points to the top 50 positions.
Every Sprint and every KOM / QOM will have big points available, AND it’s the best time, not first over the line. So there will be races within races.
Even better, if you continue to more than a few of the Winter Series, the Ribble team will pick people who improve (w/kg average) through the series for special ad hoc prizes.
And finally, if you complete the whole series, your best ten races will contribute to the overall race league.
How long are the races on for?
The Ribble Winter Race Series is running until the clock rolls forward in the Spring, the time when you start dusting off your outdoor gear.
