EVENT DESCRIPTION
Ascenders Spin & Sprint Pace: [C] Group - 2.5 w/kg to 3.2 w/kg; [D] Group - 1.8 w/kg to 2.4 w/kg; [E] Group - 1.4 w/kg to 1.8 w/kg.
Join the training ride that will ride that will progressively ramp up the pace as we build up speed with each lap toward the sprint line. You will be required to be at your attentive best and focus to keep up with the pace-setting leaders who will guide the group towards the line.
Format:
⦁ Warmup
⦁ Cruise - Ramp - Build - Sprint - Recover & Gather Up for next lap
Riders not sprinting shall follow the category Ride Leader closely to and through the Arch while gathering with the Sprinters
⦁ Repeat laps till the end of the event; category Ride Leaders can exercise flexibility to adjust the pace to organize the group at any time.
We will be supported by our Red Leader, if available to provide a wheel to follow if you have trouble keeping up with the main group. They will try to bring you back to the Ride Leader Group if you are motivated to push for it together. Otherwise, rest up and rejoin the group on their next pass.
Overall, this is designed by us to ensure you get a good sprint workout and improve your power resilience to cruise after each hard sprint with the main group.
Note: This is not a race event so your ability to work as a team is highly appreciated. You can switch to the next higher category if you prefer a faster pace in the first 30 minutes.
