EVENT DESCRIPTION
Join us on the second Saturday of every month for Feed Fondos, hosted by The Feed.
We're offering three different fondo routes throughout the day, so no matter where you are in the world, you can hop on and join The Feed community at a time that works for you.
Experience epic rides, inspiring leaders, exciting prizes, and a thriving community of riders pushing their limits together. Plus, unlock an exclusive NEW kit that is available only to Feed Fondo participants.
Route: Makuri Pretzel
Time: 8:00 AM ET / 5:00 AM PT / 1:00 PM GMT
The ultimate Makuri Islands endurance challenge awaits. This event-only route delivers 77.6km (48.2 miles) through all three areas of Makuri Islands, featuring 616 meters of climbing and eight sprint opportunities that capture the essence of real-world gran fondo events.
What to Expect
Complete Makuri Tour: Experience the best of Makuri Islands in one ride, covering key roads through Yumezi, Neokyo, and Urukazi in both directions
Accessible Challenge: Estimated finish times for all fitness levels
Recreational riders (2 W/kg): ~2 hours 35 minutes
Intermediate (3 W/kg): ~2 hours 5 minutes
Strong riders (4 W/kg): ~1 hour 50 minutes
Perfect Training: Ideal preparation for real-world gran fondo events with plenty of sneaky, draggy climbs that reward strong VO2max power
Strategic Racing: Eight sprint arches and multiple attack points, including the Mech Isle corkscrew, Shisa Sprint climb, and Pain Cavern, make this route perfect for tactical racing
Meet Your Ride Leader: Jamie Collins
A lifelong cyclist turned triathlete, Jamie discovered Zwift in 2022 and hasn't looked back. After running injuries led to more time in the saddle, cycling became the cornerstone of his multisport training, and it shows. He just crushed a 180K bike PR at Ironman Chattanooga (his 4th iron-distance race) at age 49.
What drives him? The community. The ability to hop on anytime. And the challenge of pushing limits while staying healthy. After Chattanooga, he's integrating Maurten and Mortal Hydration into his training and race nutrition, the same products available on course at Ironman events.
Currently chasing a Kona qualification after narrowly missing the cutoff at Chattanooga, Jamie brings that same competitive spirit and love of endurance cycling to every Zwift ride.
Prizes:
Each fondo ride features two prize giveaways with opportunities to earn prizes throughout the event. Your leader will explain how to qualify during the ride. Prizes include things like Feed Credit and exclusive products!
