EVENT DESCRIPTION
July 🥨 RIDES
Each week in July, we'll be visiting a different route on Zwift, taking on one of the epic Zwift rides. This month we'll be throwing in routes with lots of climbs, some sprints and plenty of KOMs, should you choose to speed please regroup.
Although the ride officially stops at 2 hours, we strongly encourage you to carry on for the after party, and bag that route badge.
Pick your intensity wisely, 2.0w/kg (red beacon) will be zone 2 for many cat C riders, 2.5w/kg (yellow beacon) is zone 2 for moderate to high cat B riders (or choose to push your w/kg a bit higher by using a MTB).
The Velos jersey is unassigned during this event but you will unlock it if you complete the 2 hour ride, please wear our jersey to show your support if you have it in your garage🙏. Long rides can drag on your own, so jump in, and Team Velos will help the time fly past with the friendly chat and questionable jokes. Don't forget to grab a bidon or two, and bring some snacks!
4th- July London Preztel - 55.6km, 531m elevation two sprints and a couple times up Box Hill. We should finish within the two hours but APs are fun so stick around !
11th- Fuhgeddaboudit- 79 km (49.1 miles) Elevation: 838m (2,749’);some sprints and KOMs for those wishing to do some intervals. ( 2:20 -2:40)
18th July - Four Horsemen 88.7 km (55.1 miles)2113m (6,932’) elevation; original KOM, Volcano KOM, EPIC KOM and ADZ!! Brings snacks and grab the route bade! (4:00-4:45)
25th July - 25 laps of the Volcano 🌋- earn the On Fire Badge and 1000XP! (You could also snag the Warmed up and Hothead badges too) With a lap length of 4 km (2.5 miles), you’ll have to ride a minimum distance of 20.4 km (12.7 miles), 40.9 km (25.4 miles), and 102.2 km (63.5 miles) to get each badge, respectively.

You'll need to finish a few rides before you can join your first scored race. With more data we'll be able to recommend the best group for you to compete against.
