EVENT DESCRIPTION
Ride with Chris Froome on World Bicycle Day!!
The Team Ineos rider, 4 times winner of the Tour de France, two times winner of La Vuelta and winner of the Giro will be hosting a World Bicycle Day UCI Ride. This is a social ride for all abilities, giving you the possibility to ask questions to Chris and get pro tips. Expect a few challenges along the way too!
World Bicycle Day was officially recognised by the United Nations in 2018 and aims to promote cycling as a simple, affordable, and environmentally fit sustainable means of transportation. You can find out more about World Bicycle Day here: https://www.un.org/en/observances/bicycle-dayOpens a new window
The UCI is also supporting World Bicycle Relief, that aims to change the lives of students, healthcare workers, and entrepreneurs in rural regions of developing countries through bicycles. The ambition is to provide these populations with easier access to education, health services and economic opportunities thanks to the power of bicycles. A donation to WBR (and any amount makes a difference!) can change the world for communities in developing countries, as part of numerous #CyclingActsofKindness you can make.
