Test your legs and your lungs as you discover the iconic ascent of Alpe Du Zwift. The latest Watopia expansion brings 3,399 ft (1,036 m) of climbing across 21 hairpin turns. The terrain changes dramatically as you zig-zag your way up the mountain ridge and enter unchartered territory.
For those brave enough to take on the climb, get ready for vivid scenery along the path. Alpe Du Zwift is the most detailed expansion to date. We took inspiration from the legendary Alpe D’Huez, (one of the more famous stages of the Tour de France) and added a Zwift spin at every bend.
Getting to the Climb
Zwifters at Level 12 or above are free to zigzag up the alpine road and make their way to the top. Here’s how to access the mountain at any level. You can join a group event, like a group ride or group workout. Browse the calendar for events showing the new routes listed below. You can also join a friend who’s riding the route, and follow them up.
Fill up your water bottles and get your finger on the camera button, because each time up the mountain will be different, and your friends will want photo evidence when you’re recapping your ride. Trust us.
Road to Sky — A 12.4 mile (19.9 km) climb with 3,753 ft (1,144 m) of elevation gain. The most direct route to the mountain.
