EVENT DESCRIPTION
This group ride is in honour of Kris Yip who passed away suddenly on January 18th. Kris was an avid and passionate cyclist that had an impact on the global cycling community. He could be found riding all disciplines of cycling from road to gravel, fat bike to virtual in any season.
An elite cyclist who got his start as a junior in his hometown of Prince George, British Columbia, Canada. Kris competed and excelled at all levels. As recently as last year he qualified to represent Canada at the 2022 UCI Esports World Championships. His racing exploits secured him a spot racing with the Wahoo Le Col team this year.
Never to shine a light on himself, he was more known for his sportsmanship and mentorship. No matter another cyclist's abilities, he was always there to support and encourage everyone to attain their goals and enjoy the sport he so dearly loved.
