EVENT DESCRIPTION
ABOUT
Ciao and welcome to the Giro di Castelli Down Under, a 5 stage event open to all Zwifters. Featuring a mix of flat, hilly and mountain stages, the Giro di Castelli Down Under is a personal endurance challenge as you compete against others, yourself, and the clock. Results will be displayed when you finish. 10 Zwifters who complete 3 of the 5 stages are eligible to win a Castelli kit (jersey and bib shorts). Zwifters who complete any stage will unlock the Castelli kit used during that stage.
IS THIS A RACE?
No, it's a personal challenge against the distance and the clock. Some participants will ride the event like a race but there is no winner of the Giro di Castelli Down Under. It's all about doing your best and trying to finish as many stages as possible.
PRIZES
- Austrailian Zwifters who complete 3 of 5 stages will receive a Castelli discount code.
- Zwifters who complete any stage will unlock the Castelli kit used during that stage.
STAGE 3
The Giro heads to Richmond, the site of the 2015 UCI World Championship Course. This course features the cobbled climbs of Libby Hill and 23rd Street with a long grind to the finish line. Pace yourself on the flat sections, you'll need the energy for the back-to-back climbs.
