THE SPECIALIZED MIXTAPE CHALLENGE
8 Events, 3 World Champions, 1 Rad Collection
From March 20th - April 20th join us for the Specialized Mixtape Challenge!
In this special collaboration, complete a series of 3 workouts and 5 tour stages to unlock the all-new Specialized Mixtape Collection: a limited edition range of bikes and clothing that’s at once fashion-forward and retro, inspired by the music that moves us.
The workouts are provided by 3 World Champion Specialized athletes — Anna van der Breggen, Chantal Blaak, and Annika Langvad — and come complete with custom Spotify playlists to amplify your training.
THE WORKOUT
Specialized Mixtape Workout #3: Annika Langvad
Annika uses this workout to get that extra edge before a big event. It works for both roadies and mountain bikers, meeting the demands of tough terrain or lots of attacks. The workout starts with a good warm-up interval to get the legs ready for the two main blocks. These consist of 30 seconds of high-intensity work followed by 15 seconds of active rest. The 30 seconds is set at 150% of FTP. The workout relies on anaerobic energy at first, but you'll gradually shift to a more aerobic work. It will help give any cyclist that extra edge!

Annika Langvad first started cycling when she was in her mid-twenties, joining a local MTB club to stay physically active. It was 2008, and she was studying to become a dentist. Like kids to candy, she was hooked immediately, started racing, and received a big invite: to compete for World Champs. Talk about a meteoric ascent. By 2010 she was racing the World Cup. And in 2011 she was on the podium. She’s been collecting wins and strong finishes on both the road for Boels–Dolmans and on the dirt for Specialized.
IS THIS A RACE?
Hardly. The Specialized Mixtape Challenge is designed to help you push your limits. That might mean leaving it all on the proverbial dance floor or just grooving with the community and tunes. If you’ having fun, you’re doing it right.
