ABOUT GROUP WORKOUTS
Zwifters line up in the starting area just like a normal event and once the event starts, workout mode begins. Everyone stays together regardless of power output. That's right, if you're outputting 100W and another Zwifter is outputting 400W you will stay in exactly the same position relative to each other. Only if you stop pedaling and fall 6 meters behind the group will the rubber-banding stop. Zwift Group Workouts are rated "E" for everyone.
ABOUT THIS WORKOUT
Cadence drills are intended to improve your pedaling skills. Power and Heart Rate remain low at higher cadences as you can become more efficient at harder efforts. Build cadence steadily to avoid fading to fast.
Workout Designer: David Lipscomb. Train with Purpose...Coach David's manta says it all: his coaching incorporates a purposeful, goal-and results-driven methodology that will greatly benefit the Zwift Community. So, whether you are an experienced rider, a triathlete or novice, Coach David will work with you to establish a training protocol to teach your mind and body to achieve a level of fitness that exceeds your expectations, on and off the bike, because every aspect of this approach has a purpose. HELPFUL HINT
We highly recommend doing one of the FTP tests as the estimated FTP can be inaccurate and make the difficulty level of the workouts too high for your current fitness level.
