Every October, more than 2,000 of the top triathletes in the world descend on Kona to fight it out in the most competitive tri on the planet. Participants must swim 2.4 miles (3.8 km), ride 112 miles (180 km), and run a marathon (26.2 miles/42 km). A significant amount of these pro and amateur athletes train with Zwift for the event. Here are their stories.

Watopia. I ride for a long time and I like to do the big hills. The variety on that course is good.
My coach will give me a specific workout to do, like 3 x 10 mins intervals, and I do that in free ride mode. Sometimes my workout is just an aerobic ride and that’s when Zwift is awesome. I haven’t done a race yet — I’m too nervous!
I usually listen to Pandora as background music. But, most of the time Zwift is engaging enough.
This is my eleventh time as a pro, more than anyone else currently racing.
My goal is to be solid across the three disciplines. I’ve had disappointing races the last couple of years. I’d like to execute a strong bike and strong run, which is what I am known for.
I’ll be walking around very sore and hopefully satisfied. I think a great race is when you leave it all out there, so I look forward to being wrecked on Sunday.
