Robert was a much-loved member of team CRYO-GEN, a fantastic Captain of the D race squad and
an active member of the admin team, always willing to go the extra mile to make sure new team members settled in quickly.

After a couple of years of hard work behind the scenes at CRYO-GEN, it was time for Robert to move on to a new adventure as a founding member of team NTS (Not-Too-Strong).

In September 2022 Robert was diagnosed with a rare form of Small Cell Cancer which had spread to his lungs and liver and stopped him from doing what he loved most, cycling, while he received treatment. After some time, he was cleared, and he got back on the bike again!

After a few months of resumed activity, last February, Robert had an emergency scan that revealed the cancer had spread to his brain, so once more Robert had to stop cycling to undergo an intense course of radiotherapy. His most recent scans showed the cancer had again returned but was more aggressive this time.

Sadly, Robert passed away peacefully at the end of March 2023 aged 41. All at CRYO-GEN, NTS along with the many friends Robert made on Zwift, we want to give a huge RIDE-ON to one of the best teammates we’ve had.
