Join "Slowman" Dan Empfield and other SlowZwifters for this social ride-slash-race.
Approximately 70min in total duration, the Hilly Vanilli begins with a 5min everyone-together warmup. The ride then separates into 2.75k/wg (C) and 2.00k/wg (D) groups, with ride leaders for each group and a sweep for the D group. Slightly faster if the group wants on the climbs - but regrouping at the summits - for about 40min depending on the route. Then the dogs are off their leashes for the final 20min, with every dog for him/herself. Finish up with a 5min cooldown.
This week we are taking on 70min over the Greatest London Loop, which starts out flat and then finishes with the Leith Hill climb. It's 25.5km (15.9mi) and ideally we'd make it to the Leith Hill summit twice during the 70min allowing folks to exit at the top or cool-down on the descent to finish.
This is not a group ride - not a structured workout - and you can be a late drop-in (up to 30min late).
This Group Ride complements the fairly stiff - but no-drop - Tuesday afternoon Group Workout session at 4pm PST (7pm EST).
