イベント概要
Centuries? Those are for omnivores! The Vegan Cyclist levels up: riding a century and another mile. He — real name, Tyler Pearce — calls this ride the “100+1.”
“This is a non-stop* four hours of pedaling, and it SUCKS while you are doing it, but when it's done, you feel so good. It's about pushing the limits of what you think is possible,” says Tyler.
You read that right: a four-hour century. Sure, it will be challenging, but a 25 mph average for four hours should be do-able for many Zwifters. Especially because he’s lapping the 10.5 mile Tick Tock route that includes only 146’ of climbing per lap. Even if you lose the group, you can sit up and hop back on when they come through again.
For most, The Vegan Cyclist needs no introduction. The YouTuber became well-known in the Zwift Community after he went head-to-head against Cameron Jeffers in an uphill race. He’s like a lot of us in the Zwift community: just a person who loves bikes, loves riding, and really, really, really loves getting faster.
Ride 30 miles or more during the 100+1 for an entry in the Zwift Grand Prize and Zwift First Prize drawings. Complete the 100+1 for an entry in the Vegan Cyclist Grand and Vegan Cyclist First Prize drawings.
Is this race?
No. It’s a personal challenge. Try to hang with the group for the whole ride. If you fall off the back, no biggie: just up and hop back on when they come through again or a bang a U-Turn to get to the group more quickly.
There will be a short break at mile 50. This is an excellent time to stretch your legs, run to the bathroom, or refill water bottles.
*Originally there wasn't going to be a break. We begged him for a one, and he added it.
Unlocking the Kit
Riders will be kitted out in a “Vegan Cyclist” jersey and shorts. If you join the event and ride more than 30 miles, you’ll receive the in-game jersey within a week.
