イベント概要
PACK Hill Training is a group workout designed to help runners get familiar with running with incline. This is a free run event meaning there is no set pace you must go, but there will be incline prompts that attempt to mimic the terrain of the course. The inclines are based on distance, so you will always be given prompts based on your progression in the workout. If some of the gradients are too challenging for you, feel free to decrease the incline, but don't make it too easy. The leader will typically follow the pace chart below, but may adjust depending on the group dynamics.
Note: We will not always be matching Zwift gradients, so it is important to pay attention to the instructions. Typically the adjusted incline will be half of what is being displayed in the upper righthand corner.
As a general guide:
--------------------------
0 - 1% = 10.2kph / 6.3 mph
2% - 9.9 kph / 6.2 mph
3% = 9.7 kph / 6.0 mph
4% = 9.3 kph / 5.8 mph
5% = 9 kph / 5.6 mph
6% = 8.7 kph / 5.4 mph
7% = 7.4 kph / 5.2 mph
--------------------------
If you'd like Zwift to record your elevation in the fit file, you'll need to either have a direct connect treadmill or use an app like Pascal's Runcline for iOS, TSS app for iOS, or Runn module from North Pole Engineering.
Finally, if the hills don't wear you out, there will be an optional 500 meter sprint to the finish and optional after party of 2-4km to boot!
So put PACK in your name, get your black shirt and shorts on, and let's tackle those hills!
