ABOUT
It’s the biggest one-day race of 2018! Zwifters from South Africa will battle for a year’s worth of bragging rights and the right to wear the virtual South Africa National Championship jersey for 12 months.

The South Africa National Championships are open to all Zwifters for for both women and men. The epic event will decide who’s the best racer in your country.

Will it come down to pure power, tactics or team work? Who will have the best time? Try to stay on the gas, or find a group at your pace and race individuals for a National Ranking place.

*zPower Disclaimer: While we're confident in its accuracy if your setup matches our standards, zPower is a calculated estimate for progress benchmarks, not absolute power values. Due to the number of variables - including manufacturer design inconsistencies in equipment - it's likely that the numbers you see will differ from what we calculated zPower with, and your wattage will be capped at 1200w. zPower is not recognized as a reliable source for racing because of these variables. If you want exact, accurate numbers, consider a power meter or smart trainer instead.

NATIONAL CYCLING FEDERATIONS - NATIONAL LEVEL RACE REQUIREMENTS

Just like in real life, to be a National Champion, you must be associated with the National Cycling Federation of your home country or country of residence in which you are able to represent. Either way, you can only represent 1 country.
We require this race license for the potential winner of the Zwift National Champs to prove that their country and gender align with the physical federation in which they represent.

Australia: Cycling Australia - ‘Race Membership’ is required by potential winner
New Zealand: Cycling New Zealand - ‘Adult License’ is required by potential winner
South Africa: Cycling South Africa - ‘Membership’ is required by potential winner
A Race License is not needed to enter the race and you will still be displayed in the final results to see where you stack up in your race. But if you win without a race license, you will not be crowned the National Champion.
