It’s with a heavy heart I’m writing to share with you the sad news of the passing of one of our sweeps and personal virtual friend to many of us in both the BanditZ and Herd clubs.

Kyle started riding with us back when we began as a banded meetups and rode with us consistently through to earlier this week. He was a founding BanditZ member and contributed to getting the group started in late 2021. To me he was and is an awesome guy with a great sense of humour. He gave up a lot of his time to help others, and I will miss him greatly.

Kyle No Gutz (Herd/BanditZ), passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, 25 July 2023 after sustaining a cardiac arrest, Kyle was a two time Stage 4 cancer survivor and he inspired so many with his story, encouragement and strength. He helped sweep many of us back into the fold time and time again, and tended to have a funny quip to share at exactly the right moment.

This 1.4-1.7 w/kg paced 2 hour event is open to anyone who wants to honour Kyle’s memory, by sharing a story or two or to ride in solidarity with the Zwift clubs that meant so much to him. Kyle loved loud, brightly coloured kits and a jaunty hat, so we encourage you to wear a BanditZ kit, a Herd kit or something appropriately loud and bright. Feel free to join for as little or long as you would like, we will have a team of Kyle’s fellow sweeps making sure that we Ride As One
